Helping a Significant Other, Friend, or Family Member
Many people who need help turn to family or friends first. If you are starting to feel overwhelmed by providing support it may be time to bring in a professional to assist. You can not decide for another person that they need to start therapy. However, I encourage you to state clearly how important your loved one is to you, how hard it is for you to see them hurting, and how you will support them if they get help.
